Contender Asia: Episode 6
Overall, I liked this episode. I particularly enjoyed seeing Dzhabar fight. However, I had a few issues . . .
- The challenge was lame . . . moving boxes? Surely they can be more creative than this?
- The ref chose to deduct points from Dzhabar without giving a warning and the second deduction was clearly unnecessary—Dzhabar pulled his kick.
- What scoring system are they using? It can't be a ten-point-must system because the score they gave was 96-95. And for that matter, why was only one score given? Surely they had three judges?
At any rate, I wish they were a little clearer on what's going on. It's hard enough making a judgment on the bouts with all the editing they do, let alone having to try and understand the scoring and judging system they're using.

Contender Asia: Episode 5
I was pleased another Australian made it through to the next round. Soren looked good in the fight—he had clean technique, and used all his weapons. I was also impressed with Alain's mental strength—after finding out this episode that he trains despite a serious illness.
Outside of the Australians, my favorite is Dzhabar. Watching him try to buy his reward on ebay was pretty funny.
I hope Dzhabar will get to fight next week. He's been jumping out of his skin to get in the ring.
