Mundine Gives up Belt
I was pleased to find out yesterday that Anthony Mundine is going to give up his WBA super middle-weight belt in order to go hunting down at middle-weight. I think he's going to be a wrecking machine at that weight.
Mundine will turn his back on a rematch with Dane Mikkel Kessler, the mandatory challenger for his WBA crown, to take on big-name US middleweights Kelly Pavlik, Winky Wright and Jermain Taylor.
The former rugby league star said only the lure of fighting Danny Green, Contender winner Sakio Bika or undefeated Welshman Joe Calzaghe would prevent him from dropping down a weight division.
"I want to become middleweight champion and then eventually the light-heavyweight champion," Mundine said. "I can be a six-time world champion in three different weight divisions.

How much weight will he need to lose?

super middle-weight limit is 76 kg
middle weight limit is 72.5 kg
I read in an interview, that during the lead up to his fight with Danny Green, Choc went bush with his dad to do some 'old-school' training. Supposedly he got down to middle-weight then (It must've been the bush tucker).
I doubt he'll lose any power. And he may even get a little quicker.
I really think he can do some serious damage at middle-weight. It wouldn't surprise me if he gets a couple of belts down there.
